Hey Everyone!

This Sunday, March 28th, is the sixth Sunday of Lent, Palm Sunday, and my Installation as your Minister of Word and Sacrament. And if that wasn’t enough, our Sunday worship service will also be at 10:30am (until 12:00), with a coffee and cookie reception after the service. In this week’s sermon, I’ll be exploring Mark’s narrative of Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. If you’d like to read the Psalm and the preaching text, you can find them here, and if you’d like to read the Old Testament and New Testament lessons, you can read them here.

As it is Palm Sunday tomorrow, we will be distributing palm reeds in the morning; however, if you’re planning on joining us via Zoom and you’re in town, swing by the church today (from noon until 9:00pm) and pick up your palm reed (one per person please). They will be in front of the church in a bucket. 🙂

This week is Holy Week and consequently, there are a few adjustments in our weekly activities. There will be NO games on Monday night, but we will be showing the movie The Passion of the Christ, by Mel Gibson. The show will start at 7:00pm in the Annex and will conclude around 9:00pm. If you’ve never seen this movie, it’s a fitting way to transition into the Passion of Holy Week.

Bible Study will still meet via Zoom on Wednesday and there are THREE Good Friday gatherings available for all. Please view the weekly announcements below for more information.

Games Up Here is cancelled for Holy Week. It will resume next week, Monday, April 5, at its usual time.

Weekly Bible Study

Service of the Resurrection

I hope all is well on this sunny Friday afternoon. This Sunday, March 21st is the Fifth Sunday of Lent, which means that Palm Sunday and Holy Week are just a little over a week away. In this Sunday’s sermon, we’ll be exploring Jeremiah 31 and God’s promise of a New Covenant.

Our Creed Class ends this week on Tuesday, March 23rd. We’ll meet in person (in the CPC sanctuary) and on Zoom from 4:00pm to 5:00pm MST. The Zoom link is on the website. This week, we’ll be exploring all things related to the final judgment, Christ’s return, our resurrection and life eternal with God.

Hey Everyone!

I hope you’re all well and in good spirits on this sunny Saturday morning. Below you’ll find your announcements for the upcoming week. Beyond our normal gatherings, the Creed Class continues on Tuesday in the sanctuary and on Zoom and the CPC Session meets on Wednesday.

This Sunday, March 7, we’ll also be celebrating communion, so don’t forget to bring bread and juice to the Zoom service. If you’re planning on being in the CPC sanctuary for the worship service, please let me know either by text, phone, or email. 🙂

The Creed Class

This week, we’ll be exploring two the more controversial passages in the creed–where Christ went in between death and resurrection and why he’s seated at the right hand of the Father. 

March Session
The CPC Session meets this week on Wednesday, March 10th from 10am to 12pm. If you’d like to touch base with an elder, please do so before Wednesday.
