Hey CPC,

I hope you’re all well on this sunny Saturday afternoon. It’s been a busy week with the Pentecost installation project underway. If you haven’t had a chance to experience it, stop by the Annex from 9am to 5pm, every day until June 1. This Sunday is Trinity Sunday and the preaching text is John 3:1-17. Games Up Here
We’re taking a Memorial Day Weekend Break from Monday night’s Games Up Here, but we’ll be back the following week on Monday, June, 7th at our regularly schedule time.

Bible Study this Week!
This Wednesday June 2nd, we’ll return to our weekly Bible Study. Join us on Zoom at 5:00pm as we look at Jonah, Micah, and Nahum. Zoom links are on our website.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Gather with the men of Lake City this Thursday, June 3rd at 7:00am MST in the Baptist Fellowship Hall for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast.

Pentecost Installation Project
The Pentecost installation art project will be available for viewing in the Annex through Monday, May 31st. All participants can pick up the scarves they painted from the Annex beginning June 1st. Scarves not claimed by Friday June 6th will be made available for the community.

Church Clean Up Day
We’re holding another CPC work day this coming Saturday, June 5th from 9:00am until 12:00pm. Meet at the Annex.

Tea Time Tuesday is Coming Soon…
Only one more week until TEA TIME TUESDAY, starting June 8th, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. Consider donating your second (or third) favorite mug at our mugging later in June.

Sanctuary Worship for June 6th
On June 6th, we’ll worship one more Sunday in the CPC Sanctuary, with communion. We’ll start outside on June 13th. The worship service will be at 9:30am.

That’s right, Pentecost Sunday is almost here. It’s been great to see so many of you lend your help, gifts, and encouragement as we’re finishing off the Pentecost Installation Project. Many thanks as well to those who helped erect two garden beds is past weekend.

Sunday’s preaching text is Acts 2:1-21. (The Old Testament text is Joel 2:28-32, and the Gospel text is John 16:4-15.) This Sunday will also kick off of our Pentecost Installation. So, you’re all invited to the Installation Opening after the service in the Annex (it’s just regular fellowship with a fancy name). 😉 Have a cookie and some coffee while you check out the 50 unique scarves that hang all around you. The Pentecost Installation will be open all week from 10am until 5pm, Monday, May 24th through Monday, May 31st.

Games Up Here
We will be playing games on Monday, May 24th from 7:00-8:00pm MST. This week, however, we’ll only have in-person games at the Annex.

Bible Study this Week
We’re taking a small break from our Bible Study this coming week. But we’ll resume again on June 2nd, at our regularly scheduled time. 

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Gather with the men of Lake City this Thursday, May 27th at 7:00am MST in the Baptist Fellowship Hall for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast. 

Pentecost Installation Project
The Pentecost installation art project will be available for viewing from Pentecost May 23rd through May 30st. All participants can pick up their scarves from the Annex during the first week of June. 

Church Clean Up Day
We’re holding another CPC work day on Saturday, June 5th from 9:00am until 12:00pm. 

Tea Time Tuesday is Coming Soon…
That’s right, your favorite Tuesday afternoon activity is about to return. On June 8th, from 2:00 until 4:00, Tea Time Tuesdays will begin its summer season in the Annex. To get ready for THE SUMMER OF TEA, we’re inviting you to consider donating your second (or third) favorite mug at our mugging, later this summer. 

We’re Moving Outside!
Weather permitting, on June 6th, we’re moving our Sunday Worship Service outside, and we’ll now be meeting at 10:00am. Our Zoom broadcast will still be available.

Good Morning CPC,

I hope all of you are well on this bright Saturday morning. For those of you coming to our Annex work day this morning to help prepare the garden beds, we’ll be working from 9-12. If you have an extra rake or shovel, please bring that along when you come. Hot coffee and coffee cake are waiting. 🙂

For those unable to join us this morning, don’t fret–because we’re having another work day next Saturday as well. Next week we’ll be cleaning up around the sanctuary. Beyond that opportunity to gather, check out what’s happening this week below.

This Sunday is Ascension Sunday, where we celebrate Jesus Christ’s return to heaven. The preaching will be Acts 1:1-11. You can read that passage and the Psalm are here. The Second Reading (from 1 John) and the Gospel (from John) can be found here.

Bible Study this Week
Join us for our weekly Bible study on Wednesday May 19th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, as we explore the first few books of the minor prophets: Joel, Amos, Obadiah, and Jonah. We’ll meet on Zoom and the link is on the CPC website. 

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Gather with the men of Lake City this Thursday, May 20th at 7:00am MST in the Baptist Fellowship Hall for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast. 

Pentecost Installation Project
Consider participating in our community Pentecost Installation Art Project by painting your own silk scarf. Painting sessions will be this COMING WEEK!  

You can stop by the Annex and paint from Monday, May 17th through Friday, May 21st, from 10:00-12:00 and 1:00 to 4:00. You can also schedule a small group or private session, by contacting Jason. The installation art project will be available for viewing from Pentecost on the 23rd through the 30th. All participants will get to keep their scarves. There are only 50 scarves, so don’t delay. 😉

We’re holding another CPC work day on Saturday, May 22, from 9:00am until 12:00pm. This time, we’ll be cleaning up around the Sanctuary and Darley Hall.

Hey Everyone!

I hope you’re all well on this sunny Friday afternoon here in Lake City (and everywhere else). This Sunday begins the sixth week of Easter. We’ll be exploring 1 John 4:7-21 in the sermon. You can read this text and the rest of the lectionary passages here.

The CPC Session meets this week, so reach out if you want to touch base about something before Wednesday, May 12th. Next Saturday (not tomorrow), we’ll hold our first Garden Project work day.
