That’s right CPC, starting November 7th… POTLUCK SUNDAYS returns to the first Sundays of every month. So break out your best breakfast or brunch recipe and join our community for fellowship after the worship service.
This Sunday, we’ll still have a coffee and cookie fellowship, but our cookie supply is looking a little bleak. Consider baking a dozen or two of your favorite cookies for our perpetual cookie drive.
In the sermon this week, we’ll be exploring one of my favorite passages from the Old Testament–Deuteronomy 6:1-9. You can find it and the other lectionary texts for the week here.
Here are your announcements for the week!
Games Up Here: No games this week.
Weekly Bible Study
Join us this Wednesday, November 3rd in Darley Hall and on Zoom for our weekly Bible study from 5:00-6:30pm. This week, we’ll explore Paul’s letter to the Galatians.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Gather with the men of Lake City this Thursday, November 4th at 7:00am MST in the Baptist Fellowship Hall for the Men’s Prayer Breakfast.
A Season for Nominations
Don’t forget, we’re now taking nominations for CPC elder openings. If you feel someone in our congregation should be nominated as an elder, please contact one of the members of the committee. The nominating committee is Diane Bruce (chair), Alan Brown (session liaison), Karen Roose (member-at-large), and Jason Santos (ex officio).
Fellowship
Next Sunday, November 7th (and every first-Sunday-of-the-month after), we’ll be having a Potluck Brunch for fellowship after the service. Bring a dish to share and Lynn Hudgeons will take care of the rest. 🙂
The remainder of the weeks, we’ll still have coffee and cookie fellowship. And, don’t forget, we’re running low on cookies. Please consider baking a couple dozen and putting them in the Darley freezer in a plastic bag.
