Hey Everyone!
I hope you are all well on this warm Saturday afternoon. It’s hard to believe that we’re entering into the last week of August. Where did the summer go? Tomorrow, Sunday, August 24th will be the 10th Sunday of Ordinal Time and we’ll be exploring the last fruit of the Spirit: self-control. Join us after the service for cookies and coffee in Darley Fellowship Hall.
On Sunday night, we’ll be hosting our 8th and final trail hiker dinner for the season. Join us at 5:30pm at the Trail Hiker Center for one more epic meal. This week, our team will be cooking up some Jamaican Jerk Chicken, served over a bed of jasmine coconut rice mixed with green peas, cilantro, and a sprits of lime. What flows from our magical foundation will be sure to delight those looking for a little more heat. You’re welcome to bring a side, salad, or dessert (in an island/caribbean theme if you desire).
This Monday, August 25th, join Marty Norman at 11:00am in Darley Hall as she shares the third part of her Prayer Practicum. All are welcome and attendance at previous sessions are not needed.
On Wednesday, August 27th, join Linda Pavich at 2:00pm in Darley Hall as she leads in the sixth session of Jesus and Women: First Century and Now.
This Thursday, August 28th, consider joining Jason in Darley Hall for the fifth session on Sin. The study is back to its original time at 5:00pm. This week, we’ll be exploring from the medieval period through the 21st century.
Games Up Here is still on Fridays! Join us this Friday, August 29th for table top games in the Annex/Trail Hiker Center. Games start at 7:00pm and end by 9:00pm. No experience necessary and all are welcome.
