Hey Everyone!
Sorry this is coming so late in the week. Although Lake City seems to be slowing, our common life a Community Presbyterian Church is not. I love seeing new volunteers at the Trail Hiker Center and folks jumping into new Christian formation offerings. It’s been a full summer, but it’s not over yet!
Tomorrow, Sunday, August 31st, we’ll gather somewhere on our property (weather depending) to celebrate the Eleventh Sunday of Ordinal Time and the final sermon in our summer series on the Fruit of the Spirit. Tomorrow, I’ll be recapping the summer’s teaching in one fell swoop. As always, fellowship will follow in Darley Hall with cookies and coffee. Don’t forget that we’re still in a cookie drive. Consider baking a couple dozen of your favorite cookie and dropping them off in a freezer bag in Darley Hall. Thanks in advance!
This Wednesday, September 3rd, Linda Pavich will offer the final class on Jesus and Women. Join her at 2:00pm in Darley Hall.
This Thursday, September 4th, we’ll carry on with our summer class on the doctrine of sin. Join Jason at 5:00pm in Darley Hall.
This Friday, September 5th will be our last Friday night games. Games Up Here will return to it’s Monday night slot at its usual time 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
