Hey Everyone,
I hope you’re all well and in good spirits. As many of you know, Shannon, Silas, and I will be taking some vacation time staring Monday, November 2nd. I’ll return to the pulpit on Sunday, November 22nd, which will also be Christ the King (or The Reign of Christ) Sunday.
We are blessed to have Lyn Lampert offer his gifts of preaching and worship leadership while I’m away. Because I’ll be gone for a few weeks, I’ve planned the next several weeks of worship bulletins. Consequently, you can find the orders of worship for the next four Sundays–November 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd–below.
This Sunday, November 1st is a big one. We will be observing All Saints’ Day on the same day as Reformation Sunday. We’ll also be celebrating the Eucharist this Sunday. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, we’ll also be holding our first-Sunday-of-the-month potluck directly after the worship service. This month’s theme is Thanksgiving, and the church will be providing a roasted turkey for the meal. Please consider bringing a thanksgiving side to share in the feast.
Also, one last Sunday reminder. Don’t forget that we’re still running another COOKIE DRIVE to stock up our cookie supply for the autumn season of fellowship. Please consider baking a couple dozen and throwing them in the Darley kitchen freezer (but in a bag please. That would be a mess).
Finally, please note that both Monday night’s Games Up Here and our weekly Wednesday Bible study will not meet until after the Thanksgiving holiday.
That’s it for this week (and the next few weeks) folks!
