Trinity Sunday

Hey Everyone,

I hope you’re all well and looking forward to the summer ahead of us. I know I am. This week has been a busy week with the hiker center. We’ve been able to show hospitality to over two dozen hikers. If you’d like help host hiker in the center this summer, consider signing up for a weekly shift. Tune into the service tomorrow for more details.

This Sunday we’ll celebrate the mystery of the Trinity. Consequently, I’ll be preaching on from Romans 5:1-5. You can find it and the rest of the lectionary texts here or at the bottom of the online Order of Worship, which can be found below.

Join us for “Games up here” on Monday, June 13th at the Presbyterian Annex at 7:00pm. If you’d like to join us via Zoom, please contact Jason before 4:00pm on Monday. 

Hearts and Spades Garden Project Meeting
Join us on Wednesday, June 15th at 5:00pm at the Annex for an informal meeting about our garden project. If you’re interested in gardening this year, you won’t want to miss this gathering. 

If you haven’t heard, Jason is calling Late Night Bingo for the Chamber of Commerce again this year. Come on out and support the Chamber on Wednesday nights at 8:00pm. 

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Join the men of Lake City this Thursday, June 16th at 7:00am for good food, prayer, and Bible study. 

Wayne Jones Memorial Service
Wayne Jones’s memorial service will be held in the CPC sanctuary on Saturday, June 18th at 1:30pm. A reception at the Jones’s home will follow. 

Summer-Kick Off
Don’t forget that next Sunday, June 19th is not only Father’s Day, but also the first Sunday of Ordinal Time, when our colors turn to green. Next Sunday, we’ll begin our summer preaching series: This is My Story, this is my Song. We’ll also be holding our monthly potluck. So break out your best summer potluck recipe and plan on joining us for this special Sunday.
