First Sunday of Advent

Hey Everyone!

I hope you’re all well and in good health as I write you on this chilly Saturday evening. Unfortunately, my whole family has been sick this week. (We ended up having to cancel all our Thanksgiving plans and lay low.) Although we’re all resting and starting to feel a little better, we’re still feeling pretty rough. Consequently, we won’t be with you in the sanctuary for worship tomorrow. This is very disappointing for me, as I love the season of Advent and tomorrow you’ll light the first candle on the Advent wreath.

Our regular service will still happen as usual however. But we’re going to need everyone’s help tomorrow. I’ve constructed the service so it doesn’t need me to lead, but has a number of places for those present to plug in. Linda Downs will be delegating parts in the morning. We’ll still be broadcasting via Zoom and the link is below. Bible study will still resume this week, however only on Zoom. You can find the Order of Worship for this week at our website. Thanks for your patience and grace as we’re getting better.

Finally, I wanted to let you all know that Denny has asked for prayers for Pat. She was rushed by ambulance to St. Mary’s on Wednesday night and Denny joined her on Thursday. They believe she has some sort of infection, but until we know more, please keep Pat in your prayers.

Here are your Announcements for the week!

Games Up Here
There will be NO games this week.

Liturgical Scarves
Still interested in a purple and pink liturgical scarf, but you missed the open painting times? You can still schedule a paint session by emailing or calling Jason.

Congregational Meeting
Don’t forget our congregational meeting next Sunday, December 5th to vote on our new slate of elders and Jason’s Terms of Call. Join us directly after the worship service (in person and on Zoom).
